Shun Watanabe
"Find your style, express yourself — 15+ years of hip-hop teaching."
Shun Watanabe is a Japanese hip-hop dance instructor with over 15 years of teaching experience. His project, Our Own Dance Collective, is built around the motto "Find Your Style, Express Yourself" — kids and adult hip-hop classes across Oʻahu that help each dancer develop their own style and voice through movement.
At The Beat District, Shun teaches hip-hop on Sundays at 3:00–4:00 PM. He speaks Japanese and English — in his own words: "My English is not perfect, but I always do my best to communicate clearly."
